The scientific committee has the following tasks:
- Stimulating scientific research in the field of gene and cell therapy
- Acting as the society’s contact point for technical and scientific questions
- Composing the scientific program for meetings of the NVGCT
- Reviewing applications for the Greiner Award
Committee for Communication and Public Engagement
Current Members: Vera Kemp (chair), Alex Garanto, Enrico Mastrobattista, Perry Schoor, Tereza Brachtlova, Max Vermeulen, and Bram Sturkenboom
Past members: Hanna Kok, Sam Hariri, and Maaike Lenderink
The tasks of the Communication and Public Engagement committee are to:
- Keep the NVGCT website and socials up to date
- Provide the general public as well as the NVGCT members with relevant news items and general information on topics related to gene & cell therapy
- Respond to messages sent on the NVGCT website and socials
- Provide a secured intranet for members to share privileged information
- Initiating and stimulating education in the field of gene and cell therapy
- Promoting the NVGCT, as well as gene and cell therapy in general
